Earlier this month WeLoveSnow took delivery of our hooded tops, beautifully modelled in the photo to to the left. 100% cotton [I think], cool as you like and 100% exclusive... You wont find these in any shops, but this month we are making one available to our newsletter readers.

To take advantage of this great offer, simply send us a mail telling us your name & number, and where you intend to will wear the top to maximise publicity for WeLoveSnow ! We will announce the lucky winners by email. Oh, and we'll need your size as well.

2. Snow Groove weekender - 24th/25th March 2007 ・　Snow Groove パーティー３月２４日〜２５日

This unique weekend will feature performances from top International and Japanese DJs. The party starts on Saturday 24th March, when Pine Ridge Resorts Kandatsu plays host to dance shows, live DJs, snowman competitions, egg & spoon races, snowtubing and much more!

For the Saturday evening, a top DJ line-up has been assembled to play 3 venues on Yuzawa high street: Black Devil, Bottle Bar and Blue Ball Cafe. The Bottle Bar will be the venue for drinks promotions for 42 Below Vodka and Patron Tequila.

DJs playing on the night and over the weekend include Tsuyoshi Suzuki, DJ Cash, Mike McKenna, DJ Aki, Tech Riders and local boy DJ Hori. 12 more DJs are lined up - check this link for details: Yuzawa Snow Groove

3. WeLoveSnow in the Guiness Book of Records ・　WeLoveSnowギネスブックに挑戦！?

"Dedication, dedication, dedication,
thats what you need..."

In 1996, Dennis Woods of the USA broke the world record for riding the most different ski lifts in 24 hours. In Vail and Breckenridge, Colorado, he rode 42 lifts on 17 December 2003.

On Wednesday 14th March, WeLoveSnow will attempt to blow this record apart. Yuzawa has 20 ski resorts within 20 minutes of Echigo Yuzawa train station. As such, WLS gaffer Neil Riley reckons he can clear 60 runs in a day and still have time for a pint before last lifts.

We'll report in the next newsletter whether the attempt makes for a magnificent world record or a sad case of having egg on our face.

１日でスキーリフトに何回乗り、滑走することができると思いますか？そんな試みに挑戦したのは、デニス・ウッド氏。1996年から挑戦を続け、今のギネス記録は、2003年コロラド州ボウルダーでの４２回以後、破られてません。
そんな記録に挑戦状を送りつけたのは、WeLoveSnowの重鎮、ニール・ライリー。駅から車で２０分圏内に２０以上のリゾートがひしめきあう湯沢町なら、さらに上が狙えるかも！？という訳で、目標は１日６０回、ラストランの前にビールを飲むこともお約束！

めでたくギネスブック入りか、挑戦失敗で、ギャラリーからのタマゴ投げつけ攻撃にあう惨めなお顔の社長かは、来月のメルマガでご報告します！お楽しみに。ニールを見かけた際は、是非黄色い声での応援よろしくです！

4. Yuzawa Tourism Association - English Website Live! ・湯沢観光協会の英語サイトできました

February saw the Yuzawa Tourism Association English website go live. This is a great site offering various info about sightseeing attractions in the Yuzawa and Naeba area.

The English website has been made in response to the huge increase of international tourists to the Yuzawa area.

WeLoveSnow offered advice and translation services to bring this project to fruition. If you would like to see more international visitors to your website, hotel or business, please get in touch - we would be happy to help!

Whilst we usually open up this section for readers who send in photos, we couldn't help but show this one of our own. Patrick Latter is the manager of the Bottle Bar, and pretty handy on a pair of skis. However, point a camera at him whilst skiing and he stacks more often than Sainsburys.
