WeLoveSnow has been furiously busy over the past few months, and we've done a lot to further improve our service.
We've increased our coverage, so that you have easier access to more hotels more areas, and covering more ski resorts. In each monthly newsletter, we will spotlight a new resort, starting with Gala Yuzawa.
In the coming months we will be unveiling further new deals and offers, to help you enjoy the amazing skiing and snowboarding to be found in Yuzawa and the surrounding area.

3. Resort spotlight - Gala Yuzawa ・ リゾート特集ーGALA湯沢
|
Gala Yuzawa is a popular, lively resort situated just 10 minutes from the centre of Yuzawa town. This resort is unique in that the resort provides great facilities for beginners, children and families, but in carefully separated expert areas also has an extensive terrain park with death-defying jumps, and a mogul area to test the sturdiest of knees.
Gala offers the ultimate in convenience - the resort has its own bullet train station at the foot of the mountain! You can get on the train at Tokyo station, and 77 minutes later arrive at Gala. After going through the ticket barriers you pass the ski pass desk, rental desk, and on the same floor there is the gondola station to take you to the slopes.

Our Yuzawa live webcam shows images relayed from the top of Yuzawa Kogen resort showing different views of the town, if the firewall on your work computer will let this through.

5. WeLoveSnow recommends - The Kinta, Naeba / おすすめの宿ーThe Kinta 苗場

If you wish to visit Naeba, we recommend staying at The Kinta, Naeba, a friendly ski lodge, straight opposite the ski resort.
The Kinta offers a high grade of rooms and great facilities, including a 'rotemburo' heated outside baths looking over the ski resort. Kanazawa-san, who runs the lodge, speaks great English, and offers great food.
Kinta offers an extensive wine cellar and a lounge with an open fire - a perfect end to a day on the slopes!

6. Fancy dress on the slopes, Nov 18th - 仮装して？ウインターシーズン開幕！
|
November 18 is the planned opening date for Naeba ski resort - WeLoveSnow will be there in force, and in fancy dress.
Its not every day the snow season starts, and in our excitement we've decided to mark the occasion with a day on the slopes in daft costumes. There are usually TV cameras on the first day of the season, showing who was first off the lifts. This year, we thought we'd give them something special.
At such an early date in the season, its too early to be bashing around in off-piste powder. The runs will be short, but the opening day is all about getting your legs back in shape and celebrating the 6 months of snow that follows.
Everyone is welcome to join in - there will be a prize for the most outlandishly dressed, probably involving drinks in Yuzawa's Bottle Bar afterwards. More details in next month's newsletter.
11月18日、いよいよ苗場リゾートがオープン！ オープン当日、WeLoveSnowチームは仮装してクレイジーに参加します！
シーズン幕開けは特別な日・・・、この嬉しい日に誰がゲレンデを初滑走するのか？ＴＶカメラも取材に訪れるこの日に「仮装滑走」を目論んでいるのです！
11月中旬はパウダースノーに飛び込むには早すぎ、オープン日にはコースも短いでしょうが、滑る感覚を取り戻し、これから6ヶ月間のスノーシーズン到来を祝うために、お祭り気分でこの日を待っています。
というわけで、オープン日に苗場に来られる方、是非楽しい衣装で一緒に祝いましょう。一番目立ったスキーヤー・スノーボーダーには賞品を用意しています。（Bottle Barにて初滑走後のドリンクも賞品として用意いたします！）

And finally...
On 17th October WeLoveSnow.com MD Neil Riley will be a panelist at a conference to be held at the Naeba Prince Hotel, the theme will be 'Internationalisation of winter resorts in Japan'. The event is limited to 400 attendees, and will be held in Japanese.
10月17日に苗場プリンスホテルで行われるシンポジウム「目指せ世界のウインターリゾート」に弊社取締役ニール・ライリーがパネリストとして参加。日本のウインターリゾートの国際化について意見を交わします。今後もこのような機会に参加し、弊社が目指す「思い出に残る旅の提供」に努めて参ります。
