Our Niigata and Nagano 2 week ski tour takes in the two best ski resorts in Japan: Kagura and Nozawa Onsen.

For those of you lucky enough to have 2 weeks to spare, we arrange transportation, hotels and ski passes for a Tokyo stop-over, before heading to Yuzawa [Niigata Prefecture], and then Nozawa Onsen [Nagano Prefecture].

This is a unique chance to explore the central Japan Alps. No other company has the coverage to offer this exceptional tour!

Step 1: [optional] Tokyo

Upon arrival at Narita Airport, we provide a meet and assist service: you will receive your train tickets for the tour, and be shown to the train.

From here its straight to the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa: a four star hotel set in a spacious garden hotel complex in the heart of Tokyo.

A two night stay allows you the chance to explore this amazing metropolis, before heading out to the mountains.

Step 2: Yuzawa, Niigata Prefecture

For your hotel, we will arrange six nights stay at Hatago Isen. This 'ryokan' Japanese style inn is beautifully furnished in a traditional style - but offers the comfort of western beds.

Hatago Isen is situated directly outside the west exit of Echigo Yuzawa train station. As such, you are very close to the shops, restaurants and bars of Yuzawa. Also, the shuttle bus for Kagura ski resort stops right outside the station.

Kagura Ski Resort

During your stay in Yuzawa, we will arrange ski passes for 5 days of skiing at Kagura ski resort.

Kagura is a wide open resort, with a huge amount of terrain. The perfect powder snow is as good as you will find anywhere in Japan, and the views are spectacular.

What's more, especially during weekdays you will find that this resort has no lift lines, and no crowds.

Step 3: Nozawa Onsen, Nagano Prefecture

Nozawa Onsen is on the other side of the mountain range to Yuzawa, around a one hour drive away.

We arrange a charter taxi taxi for your group, and a 5 night stay at Kawaichiya Ryokan.

This is a great Japanese-style hotel, just a short walk from the resort chairlifts. The onsen spa facilities at this ryokan are excellent: the perfect way to relax after a hard day on the slopes.

Nozawa Onsen ski resort

This is the ski resort for Nozawa town - and it provides everything that you could ask for of a ski resort. Breathtaking scenery, a wide variety of courses, and again some of the best powder snow you will find.

Nozawa is a great resort for skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels.

Niigata-Nagano Package Tour Pricing

In summary, this two week ski and snowboard tour consists of the following:

- Meet and assist service at Narita airport
- Narita Express train ticket to Tokyo
- 2 nights stay at Grand Prince Takanawa Hotel [room only]
- Bullet train tickets to Echigo Yuzawa
- 6 nights' stay at Hatago Isen ryokan [B&B]
- 5 days' ski passes at Kagura ski resort
- Chartered taxi from Yuzawa to Nozawa Onsen
- 5 nights' stay at Kawaichiya Ryokan [B&B]
- 4 days' ski passes for Nozawa Onsen ski resort
- Chartered taxi from Nozawa Onsen direct to Narita airport

Assuming a group of 4 adults would be traveling as a party, the price for the above tour would be only JPY215,000 per person!

There are a number of optional add-ons, including extra hotel meals, ski rental, and ski school. We can also provide a budget option, for a cheaper grade of hotel.

Please note that this the final price will vary with individual tour dates: in particular, prices would increase over the Xmas and New Year period. All transportation is provided with the exception of shuttle buses to Kagura resort - JPY300 per person one-way. Kagura resort is recommended for intermediate skiers and snowboarders and above: we can offer alternative resorts upon request.
