and convenience... We offer day return packages for the Yuzawa area, as Yuzawa is only 77 minutes from Tokyo by bullet train.
The Yuzawa area has a great variety of ski resorts - backcountry powder heaven, family resorts, ski resorts with great terrain parks, perfect groomed pistes...the Yuzawa area offers all of these and more.
Our day return packages include the following:
- Return bullet train tickets between Tokyo and Yuzawa (either Echigo Yuzawa, or Gala Yuzawa, depending on your choice of resort)
- One day ski pass
- Full detailed resort and transfer information
- All tickets couriered to your home, desk or hotel
If you choose the 'including rental' option, this refers to 1 rental for skis/board, boots and poles, which we arrange in advance. Snow-wear rental is also available, at an extra cost as indicated.

Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort
The resort opens until 6th of May
Gala Yuzawa offers the ultimate in convenience: a purpose built bullet train station and ski resort base camp in one building.
Gala offers great facilities for beginners with the central area runs, with the northern area containing an extensive terrain park and mogul runs.
Rates start at JPY 18,000 for adults / JPY 10,000 for children. You walk straight off the train and into the resort! |
Kagura Ski Resort
The resort opens until 25th of May
Not one resort but three. Mitsumata, Kagura and
Tashiro resorts combine into one awesome ski resort complex.
A resort more suited to lower-intermediate skiiers and riders and above, the big draw of this resort is powder snow. The snow conditions of Kagura are as good as you will find anywhere in Japan - and thats a promise!
Rates start at JPY 20,500 for adults / JPY 10,500 for children. The ski resort is just 15 minutes from Yuzawa station by shuttle bus [small fee applies]. |
