Though classed as a spa hotel, Ishiuchi Jung Parnas is located only 100m from a ski lift in the Ishiuchi Ski Resort, and so you could also consider this as a ski resort hotel. Jung Parunasu has Japanese rooms with \'rotemburo\' [heated outside bath], and also bright and spacious western rooms. The hotel is located just 10 minutes from Echigo Yuzawa station. Japanese rooms come with own \'rotemburo\' heated outside bath.
Rooms have ensuite toilets, TV, and refrigerator. You will be provided with a [light cotton \'tanzen\' [type of shawl, worn over the kimono], great for relaxing in after taking a slow bath. You will also be provided with bath towels, face towels, toothbrush, soap, razor.

Onsen natural mineral water bath, Rotenburo heated outside onsen bath, medicinal herb \'utaseyu\' massage shower, sauna, cold plunge bath,\'salt sauna\' [the user rubs salt on their body, with salt placed inside the sauna also, to iinduce further perspiration]. The mineral water source is entirely natural, named \'ni-ji-ishi\', from the heart of the Ishiuchi mountain range. Water quality: abundance of natural sodium chloride, slightly alkaline. Unlike some baths, the onsen at Jung Parunasu are not heated excessively. The salt saunas at Jung Parunasu are quite a rarity in Japan - the salt placed in the sauna encourages perspiration, which means that the sauna does not have to be stiflingly hot, and so can be enjoyed in a more relaxed manner. As such, the salt sauna is popular both as a beauty treatment and a means of encouraging weight loss.
