On 24 March 2007, WeLoveSnow were pleased to arrange a 90-person group trip for the Tokyo branch of a leading Western bank.

The tour consisted of a day trip from Tokyo. The event was arranged as a family day out, for members of staff and their families.

Prior to arranging the tour, WeLoveSnow liased with the Staff Social Committee of the bank to confirm group numbers, and handled other arrangements such as pre-ordering ski and snowboard rental.

In addition to the main day return ski tour, WeLoveSnow also arranged individual requests for members of the group.

For example, some families requested ski tuition for children. In other cases, members of the group requested to stay on at a hotel rather than just make a day trip. We were happy to accommodate these requests, and arrange hotel rooms and amend train ticket arrangements.

Originally, the tour was envisaged as the 'last chance to get on the mountain' for the 06/07 season. We were not holding out for fantastic snow conditions - although we did keep the Staff Social Committee regularly updated with weather reports.

However, there had been a huge dump of snow the previous week: this made for great conditions. All in all, the Family Ski Tour was a great success: there were many happy faces on the slopes.

The families mostly made their way back on our advised train, leaving at 5pm.

However, a contingent of the group decided to stay. We were happy to open up the Bottle Bar to provide some hard-earned refreshment, and to get the apres-ski party started...
